Colonial statuettes are a very popular West African craft object that ironically tells the colonial period from the Ivory Coast to Benin, from Ghana to Senegal. Each statue tells a profession of the colonial bourgeoisie... which is described with local features 😀🙃🌍 . These are stylised sculptures in wood painted with bright colours, mostly large in size. This small series is made in particular in the Ivory Coast. All the colonial African statues "wear" Western clothes that represent some professional categories: lawyers, doctors, businessmen, engineers and indeed, colonials.
 The figurines vary in height from 28 to 32 cm.
